Q1 2021 US Android Market: Music and Podcasts Apps Performance

In the first quarter of 2021, the US Android market saw significant activity among top music and podcasts applications. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the performance of these leading apps.

Pandora - Music & Podcasts experienced a fluctuating trend in revenue, with a peak of nearly $2M in early March, while downloads showed a notable increase in late March reaching 100K. Weekly active users peaked mid-March at over 11M.

iHeart: Music, Radio, Podcasts showed a steady revenue around $200K, with a spike to $280K in early March. Downloads reached their highest at the start of the year with over 60K, and active users saw a slight decline from 884K in early January to 812K at the end of March.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports maintained a revenue around $60K, with a dip to $49K at the end of March. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, peaking at nearly 32K. Active users remained stable with a slight decrease from 222K in early January to 205K by the quarter's end.

Stitcher - Podcast Player revenue hovered around $12K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw an upswing in late March, reaching over 4K. Weekly active users showed a slight downward trend, dropping from 148K in early January to 124K by the end of March.

Audiomack: Music Downloader showed an increase in revenue from $11K at the beginning of the quarter to $14K in early March before falling to $9K. Downloads saw a steady increase, culminating in 36K at the quarter's end. Weekly active users were highest in late February at over 1.5M but decreased to 1.4M in late March.
