In the first quarter of 2021, Australia's Android platform saw significant activity in the poker games category. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how the top 5 poker applications performed during this period.
Holdem or Foldem - Texas Poker by Forever9 Games showed a marked increase in revenue from $81K at the end of December 2020 to $706K by the end of March 2021. Downloads peaked in the last week of March at 2.4M, while weekly active users (WAU) saw a steady rise, reaching 3.2M.
Zynga Poker- Texas Holdem Game, from the US-based Zynga, maintained a strong revenue stream, starting at $26.5M and ending the quarter at $24.4M. Downloads saw a slight decline over the quarter, finishing at 994K, but WAU remained robust, ending at 12.3M.
WSOP Poker: Texas Holdem Game by Playtika started the quarter with revenue at $22.3M, with a slight increase to $22.5M by March's end. Downloads showed a slight uptick in the final week at 1.2M, while WAU declined to 9.1M.
Poker Face: Texas Holdem Poker from Comunix Ltd also showed a fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at $3.5M and dropping to $2.6M. Downloads remained fairly stable, ending the quarter at 437K, and WAU showed a modest increase, finishing at 1.5M.
Lastly, Governor of Poker 3 - Texas by Youda Games saw its revenue rise from $2.2M to $2M over the quarter. Downloads reached a high of 601K in mid-February, while WAU saw its peak at 3.4M in the same month.
