In the first quarter of 2021, the classic card game genre saw significant engagement on Android devices in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a detailed breakdown of how five leading solitaire games performed during this period.
Solitaire, published by Mouse Games, showed a downward trend in both downloads, starting from 38K in the last week of December 2020 to 21K by the end of March 2021, and weekly active users, which decreased from 412K to 369K in the same timeframe.
Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks by Scopely, on the other hand, not only maintained a strong user base but also showed an upward revenue trend, growing from $972K to over $1M by the end of March. Downloads peaked at 38K in mid-January before ending the quarter at 37K, while active users fluctuated, concluding at 177K in the last recorded week.
NerByte GmbH’s Solitaire - Classic Card Games saw a consistent increase in revenue, from $79 to $281, and weekly active users grew impressively from 41K to 90K. Downloads witnessed a peak of 38K in mid-February before settling down to 24K by the end of March.
The Solitaire Grand Harvest by Supertreat - A Playtika Studio generated significant revenue, starting at $657K and reaching $937K by the quarter's end. The game experienced a surge in downloads to 52K in the third week of February, although this figure dipped to 17K by March's close. Weekly active users saw a peak of 96K in late February.
Lastly, Classic Solitaire from Big Cake Apps, despite not generating revenue for most of the quarter, finished with $407 in the last week of March. The game saw its downloads peak at 41K in late January, which then declined to 18K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at 62K in the same month but decreasing to 49K by quarter's end.
