The first quarter of 2021 has been an eventful period for horror game enthusiasts on the iOS platform in Europe. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the performance of the top five horror games during this time.
Hello Neighbor, published by tinyBuild LLC, saw a downward trend in both revenue and downloads, starting the quarter with $11K in revenue and approximately 64K downloads, and closing with around $7K in revenue and 35K downloads. Weekly active users also decreased from 239K to 165K.
Granny, developed by Dennis Vukanovic, recorded no revenue but maintained a steady interest among players. The game's downloads dipped from 45K to 39K, while weekly active users saw a peak of 242K in late February before settling at 195K.
Scary Teacher 3D by GenITeam LLC experienced a slight fluctuation in revenue, peaking at $2.4K in mid-February but ended the quarter at around $1.7K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, hovering around 29K to 23K, with weekly active users starting at 223K and ending at 201K.
Hello Neighbor Hide & Seek, also from tinyBuild LLC, showed a significant spike in downloads during the third week of February, jumping from 20K to 45K, before stabilizing around 26K. Revenue varied minimally, starting at $2.3K and ending at $2K, while weekly active users surged from 489K to 499K.
Lastly, Granny: Chapter Two held steady in downloads, beginning at 22K and ending the quarter with 17K. The weekly active users saw a peak at 108K in late February, but there was a slight decline to 90K by the end of March.
