Idle games continue to captivate mobile users with their engaging and straightforward gameplay. Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into how the top idle games performed on iOS in the United States during the first quarter of 2021.
Egg, Inc. by Auxbrain, Inc. saw a consistent revenue stream, averaging around $150K weekly, with a peak at $169K in mid-January. Downloads started strong at 128K in the first week of January, before gradually declining to 65K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a significant increase, starting at 755K and reaching over 1M by the end of March.
The Canadian-published Bud Farm: Idle Tycoon Game by LDRLY maintained a steady revenue, with a noticeable jump to $111K in late March. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained under 8K per week, and the game's active users saw a modest increase from 29K to 30K over the quarter.
Kolibri Games GmbH's Idle Miner Tycoon: Money Games from Germany exhibited a revenue pattern with a dip in January to $73K followed by a recovery to $74K by the end of March. Downloads peaked in late January at 22K and then stabilized around 18K. Active users showed a slight decrease over the period, with a drop from 379K to 315K.
Metamoki Inc.'s US-based Weed Inc: Idle Tycoon showed a revenue rise from $71K at the start of the quarter to $81K by the end. Its downloads experienced a high in mid-January at 60K before settling to 42K by March's end. Weekly active users were fairly stable, starting at 156K and slightly decreasing to 149K.
Lastly, Trailer Park Boys Greasy Money, also from Canada by Eastside Games, saw its revenue climb to $81K in the last week of March from an initial $68K. Downloads saw a high point of 3.3K in late February, and active users remained stable, ranging from 13K to 14K throughout the quarter.
