We’ve acquired Video Game Insights (VGI)!
The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for the Music/Rhythm category on the iOS platform in Australia. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the performance of the top applications in this genre. Here's how these apps fared:
Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game by Amanotes Pte. Ltd., saw a slight downward trend in revenue, starting the quarter with around $5K and ending at about $4.5K. Downloads peaked at 16K in late December and showed a rise again in late March to 12K. Weekly active users (WAU) started at 105K and dipped to around 62K by the end of the quarter.
The publisher's other app, Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Ball, also experienced a decrease in revenue, with a starting point near $2.8K and concluding at approximately $2.2K. Downloads for this app saw a sharp decrease from 16K to 7K, while WAUs showed a more stable pattern, decreasing from 89K to 75K.
For Dancing Road: Color Ball Run!, revenue fluctuated but ended the quarter slightly down, from $739 to $736. Downloads saw a general decline from 8K to 4K, with WAUs following a similar trend, starting at 32K and reducing to around 20K.
Easybrain's Drum Pad Machine - Beat Maker showed a drop in revenue from $3.2K to just under $2K. Downloads began at 4K and had minor fluctuations, ending at 2K. WAUs also experienced a decrease, from 14K to 9.8K.
Lastly, Beatstar from Space Ape Ltd had a revenue increase from $812 to $1.5K. The app's downloads showed a significant jump from 2K to 6K towards the end of the quarter. WAUs saw a notable rise from 14K to 19K.
