In the first quarter of 2021, Europe's iOS platform saw interesting trends for soccer gaming apps. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, presents a snapshot of the performance of the top five soccer games.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by Electronic Arts showcased a revenue trend with a peak in late January at around $509K, followed by a dip and a steady pattern around the $200K to $300K mark. Downloads for the game saw a high in the same period with 104K, followed by fluctuations, settling to around 56K by the end of March. The weekly active users started at 1.39M, decreasing slightly over the quarter to 1.29M.
Despite having no revenue, MAD FUT 21 Draft & Pack Opener maintained a consistent download trend, peaking at nearly 80K in late January, then gradually declining to about 48K by the end of March. Active users saw a rise from 384K to a peak of 577K in mid-March, before a slight decrease to 541K.
For Head Ball 2 - Soccer Game, the revenue started at $94K in late December and saw a general decline to $45K by the end of March. Downloads hit a high of 106K in the same period, but later dropped to 49K. Weekly active users showed a decline from 855K to 633K over the quarter.
Score! Hero by First Touch Games Ltd. had a revenue that hovered around the $30K mark, with a slight decrease towards the end of the quarter. Download numbers showed a significant spike to 68K in the last week of March, contrasting with the rest of the quarter which averaged around 47K. Active users saw a slight decline from 401K to 356K.
Lastly, Miniclip.com's Mini Football - Soccer game generated revenue between $42K and $67K. Downloads peaked in early February at 46K but fell to 27K by the end of March. Active users also showed a decline from 186K to 115K through the quarter.
