Q1 2021 Performance of Top Air Travel Apps in the UK

In the first quarter of 2021, air travel apps in the United Kingdom experienced various trends in downloads and weekly active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides an overview of how these apps performed during this period.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker saw an increase in revenue, starting at approximately $16K in the last week of December and peaking at around $22K by the end of March. Downloads for the app fluctuated, beginning at roughly 9K and reaching up to 12K, while weekly active users saw a significant uptick from 115K to 150K.

British Airways did not generate revenue through app channels during this quarter. However, downloads started at around 7K and saw a decline to 5K, with weekly active users decreasing from 70K to 54K.

The easyJet: Travel App also did not report app revenue. Starting with downloads at 6K, there was a gradual decline to 4K by the end of March. Weekly active users began at 123K, with a noticeable drop to 89K in the same period.

Ryanair showed modest revenue figures, with a slight increase from $12 to $24 by quarter's end. Downloads for Ryanair started at 7K, dipped to 3K in mid-quarter, and slightly recovered to 4K. The weekly active users count also decreased from 106K to 78K.

Lastly, Wizz Air - Book Flights did not report any revenue. The app's downloads were consistent, starting at 4K and ending the quarter at a similar figure. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 41K at the beginning of the period to 34K by the end of March.
