As the first quarter of 2021 concluded, Sensor Tower analyzed the performance of the top five Personal Finance Budgeting and Planning applications across Europe. Here's a snapshot of their market presence based on downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Bankin', a product of Spain-based Bankin SAS, showed an initial surge in downloads in early January with 28K, followed by a dip and a rebound to 20K downloads by late February. Weekly active users peaked at 374K in the first week of January but saw a gradual decline to around 334K by the end of March. Revenue for Bankin' followed a similar early peak at $22K in the first week of February, with a general downward trend closing at $14K by the end of March.

The UK's Emma - Budget Planner Tracker by Emma Technologies LTD. experienced a mid-quarter spike in downloads, reaching 19K in mid-March, contrasting with a more modest 7K at the start of the quarter. Weekly active users topped at 89K in late March, showing significant user engagement growth from the 53K in early January. Revenue displayed volatility, with a notable peak of $15K in late March.

Germany's Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge from dwins GmbH saw its downloads peak at 26K in early January, but they waned to 7K by the quarter's end. On the user engagement front, weekly active users hit a high of 175K in the first week of January, with a fairly stable performance throughout the quarter. Revenue figures showed a slight increase from $10K at the beginning of the quarter to $13K in early March.

The app 1Money: expense tracker budget by Svyatoslav Vlasov had a steady start to the year with downloads hovering around 22K in late December, which then dipped to 11K towards the end of March. The weekly active user base remained relatively stable around 220K during the quarter. Revenue began at $8.8K, peaked at $13K in the first week of January, and settled at $6K by the close of the quarter.

Finally, Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker from Czech Republic's BudgetBakers.com maintained a consistent download count, starting at 7K in December and ending at a similar figure by March. Weekly active users saw a slight decrease, starting at 68K and dipping to 60K by the end of March. Revenue for Wallet followed a downward trend from $9.3K in late December to $6.6K at the quarter's end.
