In the competitive arena of real-time strategy (RTS) games, the first quarter of 2021 has seen varied performance among top contenders in Brazil. Here's a rundown of how five leading applications fared, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Clash Royale by Supercell maintained a strong presence with weekly active users peaking at 6.29M in February before a slight decline to 6.05M at the quarter's end. Downloads remained consistent, hovering around the 95K mark and peaking at 100K in the first week of February. Revenue saw fluctuations, with a notable peak of $95K in the first week of January.
Art of War: Legions from Fastone Games showed a robust increase in downloads, starting at 32K in late December and reaching a high of 62K in mid-February. Active user numbers grew significantly from 277K to a peak of 369K in the same period, before tapering off to 227K by March end.
Riot Games' TFT: Teamfight Tactics saw a steady number of weekly active users, beginning at 115K and reaching a high of 139K in early March. Downloads showed an upward trend, peaking at 12K in the same week, while revenues experienced a general decline, concluding at $2.2K by the end of March.
LINE Rangers, developed by LINE Corporation, had negligible download activity but demonstrated a surprising spike in revenue, starting at $621 and reaching $7.8K in early March. The active user base was minimal, with data only available up to mid-January, showing a slight decrease from 25 to 23 users.
Ubisoft's Might & Magic: Era of Chaos presented a varied picture with weekly active users starting at 3.2K and ending at 3.8K. Downloads had a significant jump, from 47 in late December to 943 in late March. Revenue trends were erratic, with a high of $5.9K in early March, followed by an end-of-quarter peak at $5.7K.
