In the first quarter of 2021, Brazil's mobile game enthusiasts showed a sustained interest in waifu-themed games. Sensor Tower provides us with an insightful glimpse into the performance of the top titles in this category. Here's how they fared:
Honkai Impact 3rd - Part 2, published by miHoYo Limited, saw a peak in weekly active users reaching 167K in late January. Downloads soared to 48K in the same period, while revenue experienced a significant spike, hitting $8.4K towards the end of January and reaching nearly $9.9K in mid-March.
Princess Connect! Re: Dive from Crunchyroll Games, LLC, launched in mid-January 2021, quickly gathered momentum with over 30K downloads in its debut week. The weekly active users reached a high of 15.8K shortly after release, and revenue peaked at $6.4K in the same timeframe.
GAMESWORD CO., LIMITED's Final Fate TD saw a downward trend in downloads, with negligible numbers towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also declined, dropping to around 2.4K by the end of March. Revenue followed a similar pattern, decreasing to under $500 in the final week of the quarter.
Azur Lane, by YOSTAR LIMITED, maintained a relatively stable base of weekly active users, hovering around the 50s throughout the quarter. The game's revenue saw a mid-quarter bump, hitting $3K in early February, but by the end of March, it had decreased to $631.
Lastly, ILLUSION CONNECT from SuperPrism Technology Co., Limited, experienced a modest decline in both active users and downloads. Active users dropped to just over 13K, while weekly revenue saw a dip, ending the quarter at $615.
