In the first quarter of 2021, France saw significant engagement in the wellness app category. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of the top wellness applications, revealing download numbers and user activity.
Petit BamBou: Mindfulness experienced a steady revenue trend, starting at 60 thousand and peaking at 74 thousand in March. Downloads began at 23 thousand and saw a high of 28 thousand in early February, while weekly active users increased from 130 thousand to 170 thousand in March.
Calm showed revenue growth from 26 thousand to over 30 thousand in January, with a subsequent dip and recovery to 30 thousand by the end of March. Downloads spiked at 44 thousand in mid-January and weekly active users peaked at 119 thousand in late January.
RespiRelax+, with no reported revenue, saw downloads grow from 6 thousand to 11 thousand by late March. The app's weekly active users moved from 92 thousand to over 111 thousand in the same span.
Sleep Cycle - Sleep Tracker had revenues fluctuating around the 10 thousand mark, with a high of 11 thousand in late January. Downloads reached 9 thousand in February, and weekly active users grew from 103 thousand to 123 thousand in February, then slightly declined to 112 thousand by the end of March.
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation saw a revenue increase from 12 thousand to 21 thousand in January, maintaining around the 17 thousand mark in March. Downloads peaked at 12 thousand in mid-March, while weekly active users saw a high of 60 thousand in mid-January.
