In the second quarter of 2021, the top five Art and Design apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed a range of performance metrics. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps.
Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor saw a consistent performance in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $118K in mid-June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of about 72K in mid-April, while weekly active users hovered around 420K to 450K, showing some variability but maintaining a strong user base throughout the quarter.
ibis Paint X experienced a steady weekly revenue, with a peak of around $4K in early April. Weekly downloads were consistent, generally staying between 35K to 46K. The app's weekly active users saw a decline from approximately 2.9M at the start of the quarter to about 2.1M by the end.
Sketchbook did not generate any revenue during this period. However, weekly downloads remained stable, ranging from about 21K to 26K. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining a range between 190K and 210K.
FlipaClip: Create 2D Animation had a modest weekly revenue, peaking at around $2K in late June. Weekly downloads varied slightly, with numbers between 14K and 17K. Weekly active users showed some fluctuation but stayed around 47K to 57K throughout the quarter.
Drawing Desk: Draw, Paint Art saw an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $895 in late May. Weekly downloads ranged from about 12K to 17K, while weekly active users varied between 14K and 18K over the quarter.
