During the second quarter of 2021, the top basketball games on the Android platform in the United States demonstrated varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Below, we delve into the performance of each game, providing insights sourced from Sensor Tower.
Basketball Arena: Online Game saw a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $25.7K at the end of March and dropping to around $5.6K by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, beginning with roughly 77K weekly downloads at the start of the quarter and ending with about 18.8K. Weekly active users also decreased from 145K in late March to 75.2K by the end of June.
NBA LIVE Mobile Basketball experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $56.5K in early April and then stabilizing to approximately $30.4K by the end of June. Downloads ranged from 11.8K to 23K, showing some mid-quarter spikes. The game maintained a relatively stable active user base, with numbers varying from 294K to 272K throughout the quarter.
Basketball Life 3D - Dunk Game did not generate any revenue during this period. However, weekly downloads showed an initial increase, reaching a peak of 27K in early May, followed by a decline to 6.4K by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 50.9K in early May and then dropping to 22.6K by the end of the quarter.
Basketball Stars: Multiplayer showed a decline in weekly revenue from $13.4K at the end of March to $8.5K by the end of June. Downloads were relatively stable, with slight fluctuations around the 18K mark. Active users demonstrated consistency as well, ranging between 76.5K and 89.8K throughout the quarter.
NBA Ball Stars: Manage a team of basketball stars! launched in early April and saw an initial revenue spike to $64.9K in the second week, followed by a gradual decline to $17.6K by the end of June. Downloads started strong with 123.8K in the launch week but dropped sharply to around 1.7K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 78.9K and decreasing to 9.6K by late June.
