In Q2 2021, the top 5 photography apps on Android in Germany showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.
Reface: Face Swap AI Photo App experienced a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $8.7K at the beginning of April to about $5.1K by the end of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 42.2K in the week of May 31 and then dropping to 15K by the end of June. Active users also showed a downtrend, decreasing from around 47.3K in late March to about 29K by the end of the quarter.
FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue, averaging around $15K to $16K throughout the quarter. Downloads showed a slight decline, starting at 26.9K at the end of March and stabilizing around 17.4K by late June. Weekly active users saw a mix of fluctuations but remained strong, with a peak of 109K in early April and ending the quarter at approximately 85.9K.
Picsart: AI Photo Video Editor showed consistent weekly revenue growth, reaching up to $19.9K in late May before settling around $15.5K by the end of June. Weekly downloads were stable, hovering around 21K to 24K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from about 404.7K at the end of March to approximately 322.3K by the end of June.
AI Photo Editor - Polish had modest weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.4K in mid-April and gradually decreasing to about $836 by the end of June. Weekly downloads were relatively steady, averaging around 20K per week, with a slight drop to 16.7K at the end of June. Active users remained stable, ranging from around 230.6K in late March to approximately 194K by the end of June.
Video Editor & Maker - InShot saw a steady weekly revenue, maintaining around $3K to $4K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a decrease from 18K in late March to about 14K by the end of June. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at 236.4K in late March and ending at approximately 195.8K by the end of the quarter.
