In the second quarter of 2021, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning applications on iOS in the United Kingdom experienced varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an overview of these trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Emma - Budget Planner Tracker from Emma Technologies LTD saw fluctuations in revenue, peaking at around $12K at both the beginning and the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a high of approximately 9K at the start of April, tapering off to around 6K by the end of June. Active users for the app were relatively stable, starting at 44K and ending the quarter at approximately 45K.
YNAB by You Need A Budget LLC had a modest revenue performance, peaking at about $1.9K in mid-June. Weekly downloads remained low but steady, with a slight increase from 210 to 191 over the quarter. Active users hovered around 1.5K throughout Q2.
RoosterMoney: Kids Chores App, published by World Learning Ltd, experienced a peak in revenue at $1.3K at the end of May. Downloads were highest in early May with around 1.9K, while active users saw a growth trend, starting at 27K and rising to 31K by the end of June.
Spending Tracker by MH Riley Ltd showed a steady revenue trend with a peak of approximately $652 in late May. Downloads were fairly consistent, ending the quarter with a high of 567. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around the 5K to 6K mark.
Moneyhub: Smart Budget Planner from Moneyhub Financial Technology Ltd had lower revenue, peaking at $677 at the end of April. Downloads were modest, with a high of 202 in early April. Weekly active users data was not provided.
