The second quarter of 2021 saw some interesting trends among the top 5 photography apps in Switzerland. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Picsart: AI Photo Video Editor from PicsArt, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $12.8K by the end of June. Weekly downloads remained fairly stable, averaging around 3.5K, while weekly active users saw a slight decline from about 75.4K to 66.4K over the quarter.
FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor by FaceApp Technology Ltd showed a consistent performance with weekly revenue peaking at $23.2K in late May. The app's downloads spiked initially to 7.9K in mid-April but then settled down to around 1.9K by the end of June. Active user numbers also saw a high of 32.3K in mid-April, before stabilizing around 19.6K.
Reface: Face Swap AI Photo App from NEOCORTEXT, INC. had a more volatile quarter. Weekly revenue reached a high of $6.4K at the end of March and dropped to $4.3K by late June. Downloads also saw a peak of 4.9K at the end of May, then declined to 1.8K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users decreased from 32.8K to 23.4K over the same period.
Lightroom Photo & Video Editor by Adobe maintained a steady performance with weekly revenue peaking at $7.3K in late June. Downloads hovered around 2.1K at the beginning of the quarter, dropping to 1.2K by the end. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 31K throughout the quarter.
Finally, Facetune: AI Hair/Photo Editor from Lightricks Ltd. saw its highest weekly revenue of $14.7K in mid-May. Downloads were consistent, averaging around 1.6K, with active users fluctuating slightly but ending the quarter at approximately 16.6K.
