In the second quarter of 2021, social networking apps in Ukraine displayed diverse performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Telegram Messenger had a fluctuating yet stable trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 109K and peaking at around 116K in the last week of June. Active users for the app remained consistently high, hovering around 14M throughout the quarter.
Rakuten Viber Messenger saw weekly downloads vary between 63K and 83K, with a significant peak in early June. The app’s weekly revenue was relatively stable, averaging around $2.5K to $2.8K. Active users showed a slight decline, moving from approximately 13.2M at the beginning of the quarter to about 12.9M by the end.
Facebook experienced steady weekly downloads, fluctuating between 66K and 84K. Revenue showed a notable increase mid-June, reaching up to $2K. Active users remained robust, maintaining around 11.5M throughout the quarter.
WhatsApp Messenger exhibited a consistent download trend, with numbers ranging from 47K to 58K weekly. Active users were stable, averaging around 1.9M over the quarter.
Messenger had weekly downloads fluctuating between 42K and 52K, with a slight peak in late June. Revenue saw a gradual increase, peaking at approximately $178 in early June. Active users remained steady at around 6M throughout the quarter.
