During the third quarter of 2021, the air travel app market in Greece showed varied performance across the top five Android apps. Here’s a closer look at the trends observed for Aegean Airlines, Ryanair, Flightradar24 Flight Tracker, eSky - Cheap Flights & Hotels, and Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save.
Aegean Airlines saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 4.3K at the end of June and ending at approximately 3.3K by the end of September. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at 13.2K in early August before dipping to 9.6K in mid-September and recovering to 11.5K by the end of the month.
Ryanair experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 2.1K and reaching a peak of 2.9K in mid-September. Active users mirrored this growth, beginning at 5.8K and increasing steadily to 7.6K by the end of September.
Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at $427 in late August. Downloads peaked at 4.2K in early August, while active users reached a high of 8.3K around the same time before stabilizing at around 5.7K by the end of the quarter.
eSky - Cheap Flights & Hotels saw a significant increase in downloads, starting at 923 in late June and reaching 1.5K by mid-September. Active users also grew, starting at 1.2K and peaking at 2.0K in mid-September before settling at 1.7K by the end of the month.
Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save had steady weekly downloads, starting at around 283 and peaking at 552 in late August. The number of active users showed consistent growth, starting at 1.4K and reaching 1.8K by the end of August, maintaining this level through September.
