In the third quarter of 2021, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Spain showed diverse performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for the top five apps: Uber - Request a ride, Cabify, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, Bolt: Request a Ride, and GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 17K in early July and peaking at approximately 22K by mid-September before dropping to 16K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users also saw a steady rise, reaching around 501K by the end of September.
Cabify had a fluctuating download trend, beginning the quarter with about 17K downloads, dipping to around 11K in late July, and then climbing back to nearly 20K by mid-September. Its active users increased from approximately 175K at the start of the quarter to around 248K by the end of September.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed a consistent download pattern, with weekly downloads ranging between 11K and 17K. The active users for this app increased from around 83K at the beginning of July to approximately 97K by the end of September.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 3K in late June and reaching approximately 19K by mid-September. The app's active users also grew steadily, from about 12K to nearly 47K over the quarter.
GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads hovering around 2.5K to 3K.
