The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Italy. Here's a closer look at how Uber - Request a ride, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, and Cabify performed.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 9.1K in mid-September. Its weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, growing from approximately 260K at the start of the quarter to over 300K by the end of September.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a gradual rise in weekly downloads, reaching a high of about 3.5K in early August. The app's weekly active users remained stable throughout the quarter, fluctuating between 15K and 18K.
Bolt: Request a Ride demonstrated a similar pattern, with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 3.8K in early August. Its weekly active users increased steadily, reaching a high of around 13K in mid-September before slightly declining towards the end of the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed a significant spike in weekly downloads, especially in the last week of September, where downloads surged to about 4.6K. The app's weekly active users saw a notable increase, growing from roughly 15K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 20K by the end.
Cabify had a modest performance, with weekly downloads peaking at around 818 in mid-September. Its weekly active users also showed an upward trend, reaching a maximum of about 3.2K in the same period.
