In Q3 2021, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Russia showed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed overview of key metrics for these apps.
Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $737 in early August. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, reaching a high of around 220K in mid-August, while active users saw a steady climb from 6.7M to 7.5M by the end of September.
Yandex Navigator showed significant growth in weekly revenue, particularly in early September, where it peaked at about $2.1K. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak of around 138K in mid-August, while active users experienced a gradual decline from 3.7M to 3.3M over the quarter.
2GIS: Offline map & navigation did not generate revenue during this period but maintained consistent weekly downloads, peaking at around 120K in late August. Active users showed a steady increase from 4.5M to 4.7M by the end of September.
GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) also did not generate revenue but had modest download numbers, peaking at approximately 24K in early August. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 55K to 61K range throughout the quarter.
MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav reported a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $150. Downloads showed a slight increase, peaking at about 18K in early August. Active users, however, declined from 99K to around 81K by the end of September.
