In the third quarter of 2021, the top five baseball games on iOS in the United States showcased a variety of performance trends. Here's a closer look at how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Glu Games Inc's MLB Tap Sports Baseball 2021 saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $517K at the end of June, followed by fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending September with around $354K. Weekly downloads started strong at 54K but experienced a decline, dropping to around 12K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decrease from 709K in late June to 484K by the end of the quarter.
Published by Com2uS Corp., MLB 9 Innings 24 had a weekly revenue high of $229K at the beginning of the quarter, with a general downward trend, closing September at roughly $205K. Downloads showed a steady decline from 17K to 6.5K. Active users decreased from 91K to 66K over the same period.
The Topps Company, Inc.'s Topps® BUNT® MLB Card Trader had a varied revenue pattern, peaking at $147K in mid-July and ending September at about $138K. Weekly downloads remained relatively low, starting at 3.3K and falling to 1.6K. Active users showed a slight decrease from 8.3K to 9K over the quarter.
Playus Soft's BASEBALL 9 maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $119K in mid-July and tapering off to $31K by the end of September. Downloads started at 48K and saw a decline to around 16K. Active users also dropped from 411K to 300K throughout the quarter.
Baseball Clash: Real-time game by Miniclip.com had a notable revenue peak at $104K at the end of August, with fluctuations, ending September at approximately $53K. Downloads varied, starting at 17K and finishing the quarter at 8K. Active users showed a slight increase initially, peaking at 97K in early July, and then stabilizing around 77K by the end of September.
