During the third quarter of 2021, the leading fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on iOS in the United Kingdom exhibited varied performance trends. Below, we delve into the weekly downloads and active users for McDonald’s U.K., Domino's Pizza Delivery, Subway® - Official App, Costa Coffee Club, and KFC App UKI - Order & Delivery. All data is sourced from Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s U.K. maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 179K in late August. The app's weekly active users saw fluctuations, starting at around 467K in early July, dropping to about 303K by the end of September.
Domino's Pizza Delivery experienced more modest download numbers, with a peak of around 33K at the end of June, followed by a steady range between 20K to 29K throughout the quarter. Active users displayed a similar stability, beginning at approximately 152K and closing the quarter at around 153K.
The Subway® - Official App had a notable spike in downloads, reaching 118K in the first week of July. However, downloads then declined to a range of 8K to 13K weekly. Active user numbers saw a high of about 134K in early July, dropping to around 49K by the end of September.
Costa Coffee Club showed consistent download activity, peaking at roughly 24K in late September. Weekly active users for the app started at around 242K in late June, with minimal fluctuations, ending the quarter at about 222K.
Lastly, the KFC App UKI - Order & Delivery maintained steady download numbers, ranging from 14K to 23K weekly. Active users exhibited a slight downward trend, beginning at approximately 156K and concluding at around 141K by the end of the quarter.
