The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends among the top food and drink apps on iOS in Portugal. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights weekly downloads and active users for McDonald’s - Non-US, Uber Eats: Food Delivery, Bolt Food, BURGER KING - Portugal, and Too Good To Go: End Food Waste.
Throughout Q3, weekly downloads for McDonald’s - Non-US experienced significant growth, peaking at approximately 11K in the first week of September. Active users also saw an upward trend, reaching a high of around 51K by the end of August, before slightly declining to about 42K by the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a relatively steady download rate, averaging around 3.1K weekly downloads. Active users fluctuated, starting at 219K in late June, dipping to 173K by mid-August, and recovering to approximately 210K by the end of September.
Bolt Food saw consistent weekly downloads, ranging between 1.5K to 2.4K. Active user numbers showed a gradual increase, starting at 13.4K in late June and ending the quarter at about 15K.
Downloads for BURGER KING - Portugal remained steady, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at around 2.4K in mid-September. Active users also showed a stable trend, averaging around 17K to 18K throughout the quarter.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste had modest weekly downloads, fluctuating between 764 and 1.6K. Active users demonstrated a slight increase, starting at 35K in late June and reaching approximately 38K by the end of September.
