During the third quarter of 2021, Ireland's carpooling and ridesharing app market showcased interesting trends across the top five applications: Uber - Request a ride, Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, Cabify, and Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery.
Uber - Request a ride had a noticeable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 2.1K in late June and peaking at 3.9K in mid-September. The app also saw a steady rise in active users, growing from 70.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a high of 85.9K in late September.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, beginning at 1.6K and reaching 2.8K by mid-September. Active users for Bolt also saw an upward trend, increasing from 5.2K to 8.7K over the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had more modest download numbers, starting at 606 and fluctuating throughout the quarter, eventually falling to 366 by the end of September. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, starting at 5.6K and ending the quarter at 5.6K.
Cabify showed a steady but low download rate, starting at 148 and peaking at 313 in late August. Active users for Cabify increased from 727 to 1.3K during the quarter.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery had a relatively stable download rate, beginning at 187 and ending at 123. Active users for Yandex Go saw moderate growth, moving from 2.6K to 3.0K.
