During the third quarter of 2021, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in El Salvador demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here's a detailed look at how inDrive. Save on city rides, Uber - Request a ride, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides, and Lyft performed.
inDrive. Save on city rides saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 5.5K at the end of June and peaking at 7.6K by the end of September. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, rising from 100K to approximately 113K over the same period.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a mixed trend in downloads, starting at 5.1K and fluctuating before settling at around 4.7K by the end of September. The app's active users saw a gradual decrease from 374K to roughly 348K throughout the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at just over 500 and reaching around 1.1K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 9.5K mark.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a notable spike in downloads towards the end of September, jumping from around 200 to 574 in the week of September 20. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained close to 3.8K on average.
Lastly, Lyft showed a moderate increase in weekly downloads, starting at 128 and reaching 235 by the end of September. Active users saw a slight rise, from 1.6K to approximately 1.8K over the quarter.
