The third quarter of 2021 saw significant activity in Tunisia's carpooling and ridesharing app market. Here, we break down the performance of the top five apps: inDrive. Save on city rides, Bolt: Request a Ride, Yassir - Ride, Eat & Shop, Uber - Request a ride, and Split - Covoiturage.
inDrive. Save on city rides showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 7K in late June and peaking at around 9.8K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users also saw a significant rise, growing from 10K to nearly 32K over the quarter.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced varied weekly downloads, starting at 3.9K and reaching a peak of 7.2K in mid-September. Active users for Bolt showed a steady increase, climbing from about 39.5K to 45.5K by the end of the quarter.
Yassir - Ride, Eat & Shop had a more modest performance in terms of downloads, starting at 1.4K and experiencing a slight decline to around 300 by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users for Yassir fluctuated, peaking at around 5.5K in mid-July and settling at approximately 3.5K by the end of September.
Uber - Request a ride maintained relatively low download numbers, starting at 181 and peaking at 319 in mid-September. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at around 7.2K and reaching approximately 8.2K by the end of the quarter.
Split - Covoiturage had a slower start with weekly downloads, beginning at just 52 and experiencing a notable increase to 454 by the end of September. Unfortunately, data on active users for Split was not available.
