In the third quarter of 2021, the top five dating apps in Germany showed varied performance trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the dynamics of the dating app market in this region.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date had strong weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.08M in late August. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of around 38K in mid-August. Active users hovered around 2.6M at the beginning of the quarter but saw a slight dip to approximately 2.4M by the end of September.
LOVOO - Dating App & Chat App experienced steady weekly revenue, with figures ranging between $210K and $255K. Downloads remained consistent, with a peak of about 28K in mid-September. The app had around 599K active users at the start of the quarter, dropping to approximately 523K by the end of September.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $167K in mid-July. The app's downloads were fairly stable, with the highest count of around 27K in early September. Active users saw a modest rise from approximately 369K to 395K throughout the quarter.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends showed a peak in weekly revenue at about $146K in mid-July. Weekly downloads were consistent, reaching around 25K in mid-September. The app maintained a steady active user base, starting at around 607K and peaking at approximately 664K in mid-September.
Azar: Video Chat & Meet People had weekly revenue ranging from $132K to $151K. Downloads saw an upward trend, peaking at about 20K in mid-September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 145K to 151K throughout the quarter.
