In the third quarter of 2021, the food delivery app market in Mexico showcased some notable trends across the top five applications. This analysis, powered by Sensor Tower data, provides insights into the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue performance for these leading apps: DiDi Food - Food Delivery, Rappi: Market and Food Online, Uber Eats: Food Delivery, Wabi: Online Convenience Store, and JOKR - Fast Grocery Delivery.
DiDi Food - Food Delivery saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 160K in mid-August. Active users also showed an upward trend, growing from approximately 1.38M at the beginning of July to about 1.56M by the end of September.
Rappi: Market and Food Online experienced a varying download trend, with a high of roughly 137K in mid-September. However, active users decreased slightly from around 2.05M at the start of July to about 1.85M by the end of September. Revenue saw a small but steady increase, reaching approximately $15 in the last week of September.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery had a relatively stable download rate, with numbers fluctuating between 77K and 98K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight decline from about 2.25M in late June to approximately 1.83M by the end of September.
Wabi: Online Convenience Store maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 15K downloads per week. Active users hovered around 118K throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations.
JOKR - Fast Grocery Delivery saw significant growth in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 23K in early September. Active users also surged, growing from around 14K at the beginning of July to about 39K by the end of September.
