In Q4 2021, the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on Android in the United States showed varied performance metrics across downloads and active users. Here’s an overview of how these apps fared during this period based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald's experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. The app saw a notable spike in mid-November, with downloads reaching approximately 221K during the week of November 15. December also showed strong performance, with downloads peaking at around 210K in the week of December 13. Active users for the app were fairly consistent, peaking at around 2.8M in mid-December.
Starbucks maintained steady weekly downloads with a peak of roughly 88K in the week of December 20. Active users showed a slight increase over the quarter, reaching about 1M in early November and remaining close to that level through December.
BURGER KING® App had its most significant weekly download spike in late November, with approximately 313K downloads. Active users saw a dramatic rise to about 923K in the same period, though this number fluctuated considerably throughout the quarter.
KFC US - Ordering App showed consistent growth in weekly downloads, peaking at around 72K in early December. Active users also followed an upward trend, reaching about 71K in mid-December.
Domino's Pizza USA saw stable download numbers throughout the quarter, with a high of approximately 67K in mid-November. Active users remained fairly steady, peaking at around 430K in mid-December.
