The fourth quarter of 2021 saw varied performance among the top Final Fantasy games on the Android platform in South Africa. This analysis, powered by Sensor Tower data, highlights key trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $414 and peaking at around $998 in late October. Downloads remained relatively low, with a slight peak at 37 in early October. Active users hovered around the 40s and 30s, ending the quarter at 38.
FINAL FANTASY BE:WOTV saw a decline in weekly revenue early in the quarter, hitting a low of $42 in mid-November before rebounding to $412 by mid-December. Downloads were sporadic, with notable counts of 157 in late September and 56 in late November. Active users decreased from 122 at the start of the quarter to 35 by the end.
DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY OO showed a mixed revenue trend, starting at $89 and reaching a high of $285 in late October. The game maintained a steady presence in the revenue charts despite no download data being available.
FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS had relatively stable revenue, peaking at $141 in late November. Active users saw a gradual decline from 155 in late September to 127 by the end of December.
FFVII The First Soldier, released in mid-November, had a strong start with 1.3K downloads and $91 in revenue in its first week. Active users initially numbered 1.2K but dropped to 482 by the end of December.
