In Q4 2021, the top 5 free-to-play Android games in Kenya showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of their trends based on data from Sensor Tower.
Car Driving School: Car Games by Spark Game Studios saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at 27.8K in early October. Weekly revenue showed a significant increase towards the end of November, reaching $37. Active users grew steadily in October, peaking at 47.5K in mid-November.
Candy Crush Saga from King maintained a steady revenue stream, with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $3.7K in late December. Downloads spiked at 19.9K mid-October but saw a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 220K throughout the quarter.
Word Shatter: Word Block experienced consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $20 in late November. Downloads were highest in late November at 16.1K. Active users saw a peak of 61.1K in late November, although numbers dipped to around 48.2K by mid-December.
SortPuz™: Water Sort Puzzle, published by Dark Halo, showed significant variation in downloads, peaking at 27K in late September but dropping to 1.9K by the end of December. Revenue remained minimal, with the highest weekly revenue recorded at $13 in late November. Active users peaked at 62.2K in mid-December but declined to 37.7K by the end of the month.
Temple Run by Imangi Studios saw weekly downloads surge to 18.7K in late December. Revenue was modest, peaking at $27 in early November. Active users showed a significant increase, reaching 105.9K by the end of December, from 51.8K at the start of the quarter.
