In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five word puzzle games on the Android platform in Malta demonstrated a range of performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and revenue, as per data from Sensor Tower.
Words of Wonders: Crossword experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting from mid-December and peaking at approximately $101 in the final week of the year. Weekly downloads for the app saw some fluctuations, with a high of 651 downloads in mid-October and a more steady rate towards the end of the quarter, averaging around 200 downloads per week.
Crossword Jam showed a relatively stable revenue pattern, peaking at $46 in early December. Its download numbers were more erratic, with a significant spike to 227 downloads in mid-November, followed by a sharp decline and then a gradual increase towards the end of December.
Word Trip - Word Puzzle Game from PlaySimple Games had a diverse performance in revenue, reaching a high of $69 in mid-October and then fluctuating around $20 to $30 for the rest of the quarter. The app’s weekly downloads peaked impressively at 321 in the final week of December, showing a strong upward trend in the latter half of the quarter.
Scrabble® GO-Classic Word Game had consistent weekly revenue, maintaining around $30 to $40 throughout the quarter with slight dips. The download numbers were relatively stable, with a noticeable increase to 64 downloads in the last week of December.
Lastly, Wordscapes maintained a steady revenue flow, peaking at $40 at the end of September and then fluctuating around $20 to $30. The app’s download numbers showed a significant rise towards the end of December, reaching 100 downloads in the final week.
