In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Algeria showed a variety of trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top five apps: Yassir, Heetch - Ride-hailing app, Coursa, Careem – rides, food & more, and Uber - Request a ride.
Yassir experienced consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at around 1.6K in early October and peaking at nearly 2K in mid-December. The app maintained a steady increase in active users, growing from approximately 5.9K to 6.9K by the end of December.
Heetch - Ride-hailing app saw a varied download pattern, with a notable peak of 1.3K downloads in mid-October. Active users showed a general upward trend, moving from around 4.7K to 5.6K over the quarter, with a slight dip in early November.
Coursa had fluctuating download numbers, starting at 748 in late September and dropping to 391 by the end of December. Unfortunately, there is no data available for active users for this app during the period.
Careem – rides, food & more displayed relatively low download numbers, averaging around 150 per week, with a slight peak of 203 in early October. Active users for Careem showed some fluctuations but remained fairly stable overall, ending the quarter at approximately 3.2K users.
Uber - Request a ride showed an increase in downloads, starting at 114 in late September and reaching 227 by the end of December. Active users also increased steadily, from about 3.8K to over 5.1K by the end of the quarter.
