In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 education apps on iOS in Europe demonstrated impressive performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for each app.
Throughout Q4 2021, Duolingo saw a consistent rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.6M in the last week of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with a notable increase to 145K in the final week. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 2.2M to nearly 2.3M by the end of the quarter.
Toca Boca World experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $928K in mid-December. The app's weekly downloads also saw a spike, rising to 156K in the week leading up to Christmas. Active users grew steadily, ending the quarter at approximately 1.4M.
Babbel maintained a stable weekly revenue throughout the quarter, with a slight dip to $204K at the end of November before climbing back up to $270K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads saw a similar pattern, peaking at 36K in the last week. Active users remained steady, ending at around 118K.
Simply Piano showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $597K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads followed suit, rising to 79K. Active users saw a significant jump, starting at 111K and ending the quarter at 230K.
Blinkist had a consistent performance in weekly revenue, averaging around $140K, with a peak of $159K in mid-November. Weekly downloads showed a gradual increase, reaching 17K by the end of December. Active users also exhibited growth, climbing from 123K to 151K.
