The fourth quarter of 2021 saw notable trends among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Europe. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of Uber - Request a ride, Bolt: Request a Ride, Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, and inDrive. Save on city rides. All data is sourced from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride Weekly downloads for Uber fluctuated throughout Q4, starting at around 551K in late September and peaking at approximately 625K in the last week of December. Active users showed a similar trend, beginning the quarter with about 11M users and ending with approximately 11.1M users.
Bolt: Request a Ride Bolt's downloads varied slightly, starting at 369K at the end of September and reaching around 365K by the end of December. Active users showed a slight dip in the middle of the quarter but remained steady overall, starting at approximately 2.5M and ending at around 2.4M users.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery Yandex Go experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting at 236K in late September and rising to approximately 345K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, beginning the quarter with about 6.1M and ending with around 7.7M users.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus BlaBlaCar saw consistent download numbers, starting at 184K and peaking at around 216K by the end of December. Active user numbers showed some fluctuation but generally trended upwards, beginning at 1.3M and ending at approximately 1.5M users.
inDrive. Save on city rides inDrive's downloads showed a steady increase, starting at 67K in late September and reaching approximately 96K by the end of December. Active users also increased, starting at around 823K and peaking at about 1.1M users by the end of the quarter.
