In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 Maps and Navigation apps in Russia demonstrated diverse patterns in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 204K at the end of September and rising to nearly 294K by the end of December. The app also experienced growth in active users, climbing from around 4.98M to 6.26M over the same period.
Yandex Maps and Navigator showed fluctuations in weekly revenue, with notable peaks such as $10.1K in early November and $10.9K in early December. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching about 217K. Active users remained fairly consistent, hovering around 9.45M by the end of December.
2GIS: Offline map & navigation maintained a steady rate of weekly downloads, ranging between 149K and 168K. The app's active users also showed stability, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter with approximately 5.84M users.
Uber Russia — order taxis experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 189K and reaching 264K by the end of December. Active users also increased from around 3.24M to nearly 3.84M throughout the quarter.
Citymobil Taxi had a varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at about 89K and peaking at nearly 110K by the end of December. Active users showed an upward trend, growing from approximately 2.02M to 2.25M over the same period.
