During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top music and audio applications in Romania showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced a steady revenue stream, peaking at about $21 in the week of November 8. Weekly downloads saw significant fluctuations, starting at 11.4K and reaching a high of 20.5K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 1.1M mark throughout the quarter.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained a consistent revenue pattern, with minor peaks and troughs, reaching up to $31 in the first week of November. Downloads showed an upward trend, from approximately 8.2K at the beginning of the quarter to around 13.9K by the last week of December. Active users also saw a steady increase, rising from 623K to nearly 709K.
Groovepad - music & beat maker saw variable revenue, peaking at $185 in mid-October. Downloads were inconsistent, with a notable increase towards the end of December, reaching 5.7K. Active users followed a similar trend, ending the quarter at around 23.7K.
YouTube Music had a strong revenue performance, peaking at $22.6K in early December. Weekly downloads showed a positive trend, starting at 7.3K and ending at 9.8K. Active users increased steadily, from approximately 914K to over 1M by mid-December.
Music Player - Audify Player had a modest but steady increase in downloads, from 3.8K to around 6K by the end of December. Active users grew from 73.5K to about 86.3K during the quarter.
