In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 delivered meal kits and specialty foods applications in Sweden exhibited varied performance metrics on a unified platform. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends of these apps.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 3.4K at the end of December 2021 and peaking at around 5.4K in mid-January. This trend stabilized towards the end of the quarter, averaging between 4K and 4.5K downloads per week. The app also maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users growing from 47.8K to 61K throughout the quarter.
Vivino: Buy the Right Wine experienced a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from approximately 1.9K at the end of December to around 818 by the end of March. Despite the fluctuations, the app's active user count remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 10.7K and 14.1K. Revenue for Vivino was minimal, with occasional peaks of $1 to $4 during the quarter.
CrowdFarming had modest download numbers, starting at 156 in late December and decreasing to 75 by the end of March. The app did not generate any revenue or have significant active user data during this period.
Marley Spoon showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 84 at the end of December and reaching a peak of 195 by the end of January. Active users saw a slight increase from 195 to 301 over the quarter. However, the app did not report any revenue during this time.
Linas Matkasse experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting with 65 at the end of December and peaking at 185 in mid-January. By the end of March, downloads had decreased to 97. The app did not report any revenue or active user data for the quarter.
