Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 gaming apps in Ghana exhibited varied performance trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared according to Sensor Tower data.
Subway Surfers from Sybo Games ApS saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 37.7K in late December 2021 and dropping to around 12.6K by the end of March 2022. The weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at $65 in late December and reaching its lowest at $13 in mid-March. Active users showed a steady trend, maintaining around 250K towards the end of the quarter.
Dream League Soccer 2024 from First Touch Games Ltd. demonstrated relatively stable weekly downloads, averaging around 8K to 11K throughout the quarter. The weekly revenue experienced a peak of $586 in late December, with a noticeable dip to $269 in late March. Active users remained consistent, oscillating between 100K and 110K.
Candy Crush Saga by King showed an overall stable performance in weekly active users, hovering around the 250K mark. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 16.8K in late February but decreased to around 10.4K by the end of March. Revenue saw a peak of $2.1K in late December, declining to about $1.4K towards the quarter's end.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer from Electronic Arts experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $1.6K in mid-March. Downloads also showed a rising trend, starting at around 8.8K in late December and reaching up to 26K in late January. Active users peaked at approximately 150K towards the end of January.
Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game by Amanotes Pte. Ltd. had a steady decline in downloads, from around 12.6K in late December to about 5.3K by the end of March. Revenue peaked at $41 in mid-January and settled at around $29 by the end of the quarter. Active users were relatively stable, maintaining an average of around 70K.
