In the first quarter of 2022, the top five superhero games in Portugal showcased varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a detailed look at how DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE, Marvel Contest of Champions, MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG, MARVEL Future Fight, and Legendary: Game of Heroes performed.
DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. saw fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $25K in the first week of January and experiencing another notable increase to $16.2K in mid-January. Weekly downloads started strong at 1.1K in late December but gradually decreased to approximately 276 by the end of March. Active users began at 13K, dipping to around 9.3K in mid-January, but stabilized around 9.4K by the end of the quarter.
Published by Kabam Games, Inc., Marvel Contest of Champions experienced a significant drop in weekly revenue after peaking at $5.5K in late December, with the lowest point being $946 in mid-January. Downloads also saw a decline from 1.4K at the end of December to around 562 by the end of March. Active users remained relatively steady, starting at 4.9K and ending at around 3.5K.
MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG by Scopely, Inc. showed a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting at $3.9K in late December and ending at $1.8K in late March. Downloads were low but consistent, hovering around 140-375 throughout the quarter. Active users started at 2.9K, with a slight increase to around 2.7K by mid-March before dropping to 2.6K at the quarter's end.
Netmarble Corporation's MARVEL Future Fight saw a steady decline in weekly revenue, beginning at $2.1K and dropping to around $775 by the end of March. Downloads peaked at 2K in late January before falling to around 199 by the end of the quarter. Active users started at 6.5K, peaking at nearly 6.8K in late January, and then gradually decreased to about 4.9K by the end of March.
Legendary: Game of Heroes from PerBlue Entertainment, Inc. had a relatively stable weekly revenue, peaking at $1.8K in late February. However, downloads remained negligible throughout the quarter. Active users were minimal, starting at 37 and dropping to just 10 by the end of March.
