In Q1 2022, the top 5 top-down games in the United States showcased notable trends across downloads, revenue, and active users on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Wordle! saw a remarkable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at around $153K in the week of February 21. Weekly downloads surged mid-quarter, hitting approximately 1.2M in early February. The game also experienced substantial growth in weekly active users, reaching over 2.1M by the end of February.
Count Masters: Crowd Runner 3D experienced consistent weekly downloads, maintaining numbers around the 300K-500K range throughout the quarter. Active users remained steady, with figures around 900K to 1M.
Among Us! exhibited steady weekly revenue, fluctuating between $8K and $36K. Weekly downloads showed a declining trend, starting from roughly 493K in late December and settling around 247K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from approximately 1.8M to 1.1M over the quarter.
Wordscapes maintained strong weekly revenue, consistently around the $900K to $1M mark. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 200K-300K per week. Active users remained high, with figures over 3M for most of the quarter.
8 Ball Pool™ generated significant weekly revenue, peaking at about $1.3M in early March. Weekly downloads remained steady, averaging around 200K-270K. Active users fluctuated between 2.4M and 2.9M throughout the quarter.
