2026 State of Mobile is Live!

The second quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top consumer finance apps on the Android platform in Mexico. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key insights into downloads and active users for the top five apps: BBVA México, Banco Azteca, Stori - Crédito y Ahorro, Nubank: conta, cartão e mais, and NanoPay-Tarjeta de crédito MCI.
BBVA México maintained strong weekly downloads, starting at 154K and peaking at 174K in early May. The app consistently had over 7.5M weekly active users, reaching a high of 8.4M in the week of May 9.
Banco Azteca showed stable download numbers, averaging around 130K per week. Active users fluctuated between 3.6M and 4M, with a notable peak of 4M in early May.
Stori - Crédito y Ahorro experienced a consistent download rate, generally around 100K per week, with a peak of 110K at the end of May. The app saw a steady rise in active users, reaching over 1M by the end of June.
Nubank: conta, cartão e mais had a stable download trend, starting at 111K and ending at around 68K per week. Active users increased from 1.1M to 1.3M over the quarter, showing a steady upward trajectory.
NanoPay-Tarjeta de crédito MCI saw a decline in downloads, from a high of 115K in mid-April to 36K by the end of June. Active users also decreased, dropping from 246K in April to around 157K by the end of the quarter.
