Below, we explore the key metrics for the top 5 apps: Spotify: Music and Podcasts, Shazam: Find Music & Concerts, StarMaker: Sing Karaoke Songs, Yandex Music, Books & Podcasts, and LMR - Copyleft Music.
Throughout Q2 2022, weekly downloads for the app showed a generally stable trend, starting at approximately 395K in late March and peaking at around 462K in mid-April, before settling at around 352K by the end of June. The number of weekly active users remained consistently high, growing from 57.9M to 58.8M over the quarter.
Weekly downloads for Shazam fluctuated between 285K and 326K, with a noticeable peak in mid-April. Active users saw a steady increase from 10.2M at the end of March to 11.1M by the end of June, reflecting its continuous popularity.
This karaoke app experienced a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, from 376K to 220K, but recovered to about 244K by the end of June. Revenue showed a downward trend, starting at around $47.9K and dropping to approximately $35K by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 868K and 1.03M.
Yandex Music's weekly downloads ranged from 108K to 181K, with the highest number of downloads occurring in early April. Revenue saw a peak of around $5.6K in mid-April but generally remained below $5K for most of the quarter. Active users showed consistent growth, increasing from 8.1M to 10.1M.
The app's downloads varied between 111K and 153K, with a peak in early April. Revenue also saw an upward trend, starting at $402 and reaching up to $781 in early June. The number of active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 8.7M to 8.9M.
