Throughout the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on Android in Central America demonstrated varied performance metrics in downloads, active users, and revenue. Data from Sensor Tower offers detailed insights into these trends.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 64K and 89K. The app witnessed a peak of around 89K downloads in the week of April 11. Despite some fluctuations, weekly active users remained robust, averaging around 1.2M, with a slight dip to approximately 1.1M by the end of June.
Google Earth saw consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 27K to 35K. The highest download count of the quarter was around 35K in the week of April 11. Active user numbers hovered around 240K to 260K, with a notable peak of approximately 261K in mid-April.
Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps experienced a more volatile download trend, starting with 34K downloads at the end of March and dropping to about 13K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 24K and decreasing to around 13K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly revenue remained modest, peaking at $41 in early May.
GPS Satellite Maps: Live Earth maintained steady weekly downloads, generally ranging from 13K to 21K. The app saw a peak of approximately 21K downloads in the week of June 20. Active users also showed a steady increase, reaching about 90K by the end of June. Revenue peaked at $18 in late April.
GPS Navigation - Route Planner had a notable performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 10K and 21K, peaking at around 21K in the week of June 20. Active users grew steadily, starting at 14K and reaching approximately 26K by the end of the quarter.
