In the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 communication apps in Poland displayed a variety of performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Data from Sensor Tower reveals insightful patterns for Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Snapchat, Telegram, and Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. had a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at around $748 in early April and experiencing a low of approximately $405 by the end of May. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, generally ranging from 73K to 96K, with a slight dip in late April. The app maintained a substantial user base, with active users hovering around 18M throughout the quarter.
WhatsApp Messenger showed a consistent download trend, starting at 68K in late March and gradually decreasing to about 52K by the end of June. Active users saw a steady increase, reaching over 5.2M by mid-June.
Snapchat from Snap Inc exhibited a stable revenue trend, with minor fluctuations around $30 to $75. Downloads remained consistent, averaging between 27K and 36K per week. Active users hovered around 4.2M to 4.3M, with a slight increase observed in mid-May.
Telegram had an interesting revenue spike, reaching $2.5K in mid-June, up from negligible values earlier in the quarter. Downloads saw a gradual decline from 44K in early April to about 26K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating around 1.2M.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out showed a robust revenue pattern, starting at around $8.8K in late March and peaking at approximately $10.9K by the end of May. Downloads were stable, averaging around 22K to 26K weekly. Active users saw a slight decline from 3M to around 2.8M throughout the quarter.
