The third quarter of 2022 saw varied performances from the leading travel and local apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom. Here’s a detailed look at the metrics for Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, RingGo: Mobile Car Parking App, Jet2 - Holidays & Flights, Flightradar24 Flight Tracker, and TUI | Book Holidays and Travel.
The app experienced modest fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 32K in early August and then tapering off to approximately 26K by the end of September. Weekly active users saw a gradual decline from about 1.2M in late June to 1M by the end of the quarter.
Weekly downloads for RingGo showed an upward trend in early August, reaching around 35K, before falling to approximately 24K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 90K to 100K throughout the quarter.
Jet2 saw a significant drop in weekly downloads from 40K in late June to about 22K by the end of September. However, active users displayed a steady increase, rising from around 104K in late June to over 118K in early September.
Flightradar24 experienced a consistent download rate, peaking at 36K in mid-September before dropping to 14K by the end of the month. Revenue spiked to approximately $21K in mid-September. Active users also saw a peak of around 170K in early August, but this number decreased to 107K by the end of September.
TUI maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating between 20K and 22K throughout the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, remaining around the 200K mark, with a slight increase to 220K in mid-September.
