In the third quarter of 2022, several books applications saw notable performance trends in Turkey. Here's a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Storytel - Audiobooks Library showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $29.7K in the final week of September. Weekly downloads also saw fluctuations, with a high of approximately 11.7K in the last week of June. The app's active users rose from 298.9K to a peak of 360.1K in mid-August, ending the quarter at 356.7K.
Fabula: Audiobook Summaries experienced growth in weekly revenue, reaching around $1.5K in early September before declining to $934 by the end of the month. Downloads varied, peaking at 5.2K in early August. Active users saw a slight increase, starting at 17.7K in late June and rising to 21.2K by the end of August, then stabilizing around 20.8K.
Kidly: Bedtime Books, Sleep had a notable revenue spike to $1.6K in mid-September. However, downloads showed a declining trend, dropping from 4.3K in mid-July to 2.1K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, peaking at 15.3K in late August and ending the quarter at 14.1K.
Audible: Audio Entertainment maintained a consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $500-$600 throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 672 in mid-September, while active users saw a slight increase from 2.1K in late June to 2.3K by mid-September.
Finally, Wattpad - Read & Write Stories showed strong performance with downloads peaking at 30.2K in early August. However, active users slightly declined from a peak of 2.6M in mid-August to 2.3M by the end of September. Revenue remained steady, averaging around $700 weekly.
