During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 photography apps on Android in Israel exhibited varied performance trends. Here, we delve into the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user data for these apps, highlighting their market dynamics.
Video Editor & Maker - InShot from InShot Video Editor saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at around $592 and peaking at approximately $1.5K by the end of December. Weekly downloads showed a steady rise, starting from 2.2K in late September and reaching 2.9K in the last week of December. The app maintained a fairly stable number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 46.1K and 48.8K.
ToonApp Cartoon Photo Editor by Lyrebird Studio experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at $262 and climbing to $389 by the end of the quarter. Downloads for the app saw a significant rise in December, peaking at 5.4K in mid-December before settling at 2.4K in the final week. Active users also increased substantially, from 5.5K in late September to about 11.9K in mid-December, before dropping to 7.9K by the end of the quarter.
Lensa: photo editor & AI art from Prisma Labs, Inc. demonstrated impressive growth in revenue, which surged from $14 in late September to a peak of approximately $10K in mid-December. Downloads followed a similar trajectory, with a low of 12 in late September, skyrocketing to over 10K in early December, and then decreasing to 1.2K by the end of the month. Active users grew significantly, peaking at around 13.9K in mid-December before decreasing to 3.6K in late December.
Time Warp Scan - Face Scanner by Braly JSC showed a varied trend, with downloads starting at 9.4K in late September, dropping dramatically to under 1K from late October and remaining low through December. The app's active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 10K to about 3K by the end of December. Revenue remained minimal throughout the quarter.
ToonArt: Cartoon Yourself, also from Lyrebird Studio, saw a steady rise in weekly revenue, reaching $185 in the final week of December. Downloads increased significantly in November, peaking at 4.7K in mid-December before dropping to 1.7K at the end of the month. Active users followed this trend, growing from 812 in late September to a peak of about 6.6K in mid-December, then decreasing to 4.3K by the end of the quarter.
